Balthazar

Maarten Devoldere, Jinte Deprez, Patricia Vanneste, Joachim Quartier, and Koen Verfaillie (the latter two of whom were later replaced by Simon Casier and Christophe Claeys) formed Balthazar, one of Belgium's most promising indie rock outfits, in Kortrijk in 2004. After winning several local talent contests and performing at the Humo's Rock Rally contest, they appeared at the Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter festivals, released their 2010 debut album Applause, and supported the Joy Formidable and dEUS on their European tours. Balthazar's second studio effort, Rats, arrived in 2012. A new single, "Then What", was issued in January, 2015 in anticipation of the band's third studio long player Thin Walls, which followed later that year.
